Alte Kellerei in Kirn

Spacious, neat and clean rooms. The breakfast buffet left nothing to be desired. Very friendly and attentive staff. We felt very comfortable the whole weekend and would be happy to come back!

Nice hotel, with big clean rooms. Breakfast is extensive and left nothing to be desired, at least for us. The staff are very friendly and as a motorcyclist I even got a special parking space for my bike 😎

Very nice hotel

Room for one night basically OK, noise (vacuuming) at night from the rental area out of the question. The breakfast + booked packed lunch the following day was a bad joke. Coffee machine ready for use after more than 30 minutes, too few rolls and selection of sausage / cheese / etc. loveless and very manageable. As a guest you don't really feel at home.

Who likes the half-hearted and morbid charm .... Way too expensive!!!!!

The restaurant is currently (8/2019) out of order. The hotel rooms are spacious, clean and functional. The breakfast was, at the price of 5 €, okay.

Rooms are spacious, reasonably well equipped and clean, some forward are noisy from the traffic. Free parking in front of the house. The reception is only temporarily occupied. On arrival you should have the phone number ready. The restaurant in the house is currently not leased. The breakfast buffet was rich, on previous order there are also Körnerbrötchen. However, the buffet in front of us was decimated by a group of cyclists who took food for the road. It was not all refilled.

Very nice housekeeper. However, the whole house seems to be in minimal operation, there is only breakfast, no restaurant and counter service. No lively hotel operation.

Ideal in itself, because central, located. Only a few minutes from the bike path and therefore good choice for cyclists who are traveling a few days with luggage. In the hotel there is even an Italian restaurant, whose rooms are only used for breakfast. You can not eat there at noon and in the evening, but you have to dodge the manageable city center of Kirn, where the selection of international cuisine is not exactly intoxicating. The breakfast itself is ... functional. Mostly just cyclists and hikers come for a night or two. After all, you are asked, as you would like the breakfast eggs. In general, the staff is by and large the highlight of the hotel, because friendly. So they top the rooms. Although ours was relatively large and the bathroom was clean, but you could see that no one seems to feel like entertaining people. Especially in Kirn, where there seems to be little hospitality, a nice, well run hotel with an appealing kitchen would be the magnet, as it is located in a rugged but beautiful area. But probably it's just the lack of staff ...

Unfortunately, there is currently no pizzeria, the hotel staff is very nice. When we were there, the breakfast was okay, only the portion d. Scrambled eggs were far too little. Otherwise good starting point for things to do.

Very nice house

Check in late at 5pm, staff relatively friendly, checkout way too early at ten in the morning and on sunday! Parking directly in front of and behind the house. Breakfast only until 09:30 and quality is solala. Room clean and big, the decoration concept would have to be revised.

Outrageous - NOT RECOMMENDED! An hour before arrival our room (booked weeks in advance) was canceled! Reason: water damage! We checked! There was no water damage! Fortunately found another hotel in Kirn!

I have already been to the Alte Kelterei several times and have to find out again and again that the dishes on offer do justice to the price-performance ratio. The service is excellent and the staff and the ambience help the guest to forget everyday life a bit. As a former restaurateur in Frankfurt am Main, I feel able to give such a good judgment.
